Pros

Good benefits, financially solid company.

Cons

Despite having a female CEO, many pointed reminders that electrical wholesale is historically a male dominated field remain. Better total remuneration at competition. Training is not a strong suit. Being forced to wait 2 years for comprehensive training of their non-intuitive SAP system is pathetic.

Pay is terrible

Pros

nice people, great training and learning if you have the right manager. I had a very good manager who took me under his wing.

Cons

I cannot talk enough about how awful the pay at this company is. I mean it is so so bad that I left and withing 18 months was making literally double what I was making here at a Fortune 20 company. They expect the restricted ESOP to offset the horrible pay, but nothing is worth it, stay here for a couple years experience if you're new to the working world out of college and then leave is my best advice unless you want to end up living in your parents basement for the rest of your life.

sales rep

Pros

Good benefits, profit sharing, company stock, good employees to work with.

Cons

Will work you to death, little appreciation, back stabbing management, low salary (you will have to fight or threaten to leave for any raise you get). Many mandatory hours wasted on meaningless training, instead of selling and customer service. If you're in sales, expect to never make budget, or work your tail off nights, weekends and on your vacation time. They preach family values, employee ownership, a beloved company, but they don't practice what they preach anymore: the bottom line is much more important than the employee, and they will let you know that.
