Pros

I really like the people I work with. The work atmosphere is positive and everyone is focused and works hard. Yet we have a lot of work/life balance and flexible work hours. I feel like they care about my wellbeing.

Cons

Since the financial crisis, GRE has been holding the line on costs and hiring. We're seeing a little growth now, so I'm hopeful this will loosen up a little.

Pros

The work/life balance is second to none. The company participates in cutting edge research for new and older plants to help improve the plant operations. Management looks for ways to improve internal promotion and skills advancement. The company takes are of its employees and will look for ways to retain employees who have experience.

Cons

although the second largest utility in Minnesota there are few larger plants which might restrict an employee's ability to seek further advancement.
