It’s a family-owned company and is run as such. If you have to purchase things as part of your job, it takes 5x as long because of the ridiculous policies. Later they complain invoices weren’t paid in a timely manner. Downright horrible managers that don’t know the job and are even more clueless in managing people. They hire you for your knowledge and experience and then completely ignore it. The ‘Do As I Say’ rule is strictly enforced. Managers are threatened by experienced employees so they belittle you and take your ideas and pass them off as their own. When you call them out on it, they make up lies about your performance and fire you. They will throw anyone under the bus to cover up their own inadequacies. Clearly some office folks don’t have enough work to do and are very petty like students in middle school.
