Pros

Access to a variety of resources and training programs.

Cons

Working at Greystar was an experience filled with significant challenges. The management’s disorganized approach created a chaotic and stressful work environment. Despite taking days off, I was frequently interrupted, making it difficult to find a work-life balance. Additionally, some business practices seemed questionable, which further added to the discomfort. After my last day, I sent six emails regarding my vacation payout and access to my paystubs, but received no response from HR. This lack of communication has been incredibly frustrating, and I may have to take other measures to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, these problems overshadowed any positives, leading me to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Pros

-Excellent benefits/PTO/perks -Many great clients in the 3rd party management division. -Global reach, big company! But you will usually be able to get someone on the phone to help out with getting what you need. -Utilize multiple industry-standard software platforms with solid support.

Cons

-NY 3rd party management division has and continues to experience excessive turnover. -Senior leaders in the region are less than forthcoming with clients regarding employee departures. A never-ending source of aggravation for clients that has caused many a lost account. -Aversion to solving problems; many errors are made and simply swept under the rug vs being resolved. -All of the hallmarks of a toxic work environment are present here. It is difficult to ascertain if anyone further up the chain of command is aware of what goes on in the NY office and more importantly if they are doing anything to resolve things. -There is no focus on mentoring/training people to succeed. You will be given a job, and then written up like an ill-behaved child when you can’t “perform” in the eyes of “leaders” that are underperforming at best.

Pros

A lot of properties which can lead to fast promotions if you demonstrate ability. You meet some cool co-workers along the way

Cons

Because of the companies continued growth, a lot of turnover. When you bring issues up to HR, nothing gets done except that the person you are reporting on now retaliates against you since hr gives them a heads up. Community managers are above company standards and rules. No check and balances which allows community managers to abuse power and be tyrants in managing style. Put up many excuses when you recommend one of your techs for a promotion. Not giving fair pay to great techs. Service Supervisors are frowned upon or denied vacation request but community manager takes whatever time they want off because they are Salary and Supervisors are hourly.
