No matter how great Greystar is... the OWNERS of the property is what dictates everything. They tell Greystar what to do, how to budget, and how much staff is allotted. The ownership we had was never on property and didn't see how much we were actually drowning. They saw the positive numbers but didn't think about how hard we worked and the effort we put in to do it. This showed them that we did not need any more staff. My manager was salary and was putting in more hours than they knew. She would work late into the night and come in early just to show ownership that we were doing great. This was good and bad. Bad because they didn't see her overtime therefore didn't think we needed the extra help. It was a never ending cycle of trying to stay above water. We had about 200 units, 1 PT leaser, 1 Asst Manager, 1 Manager, and 2 maintenance. The property was high demanding and the residents were mainly under educated which required more work on our part. Not only did we have to make our numbers but we had to educate our residents on small things such as application process, leases, renewals, and even translate for them.
NIGHTMARE.
