      Was a wonderful place to work but new mgmnt has changed things. My former co-workers are stressed out and unhappy.

      Pros

      Things are different now, but when I worked there it was great. Benefits were great, co-workers were great and so was mgmnt. Lots of opportunities for advancement. Guardian is a solid company with headquarters in NYC.

      Cons

      None while I was working there. Former colleagues who are still working there are very unahppy. Too many managerial changes. Respect for employees personal lives is almost non-existent.

      Pros

      The work you do for Guardian makes a real differnce in peoples lives. Children will go to college, people will retire, and dreams will be achieved all because of the work you do.

      Cons

      This job is as tough as it gets. You have to prospect constantly if you want to make it. People are very reluctant to talk about money after the market crash. There is no salary at all, it's 100% commission. This leads to many FR's being very stressed out all of the time. This also makes for little little family time.

      Pros

      pretty decent pay compared to other insurance companies. also as usual with insurance companies the work load is not as intensive as most other indrustries

      Cons

      not much room for advancement. you are hired for a certain role and cannot really move beyond it unless some above you leaves
