A breath of fresh air......

Pros

I joined GuidePoint after leaving a much larger company. I became frustrated with the office politics and bureaucratic red tape that prevented any change or innovation. I am so happy I left. GuidePoint has been such a breath of fresh air and I enjoy working again. While GPS is still a small (but quickly growing) firm, they have put all the right tools and processes in place for a successful business. We have a great reputation in the security world and have grown primarily through internal employee networks and word of mouth. Besides a great culture, there are 100% employer paid health for employees, a primarily virtual environment, and super flexible work schedule.

Cons

The 401K doesn't kick in until 6 months, and I have heard they are looking to change that. I would like to see more benefits options like HSA/FSA and commuter benefits for those working on client site.

Pros

GuidePoint is has a great culture with lots of super intelligent people. It's mostly work-from-home, which is certainly nice. The work is usually challenging and you can't NOT learn working here. Other employees are really helpful and eager to learn. This is hands-down the best company I've ever worked for.

Cons

Like most consulting companies, the work is not always as fun as we would like it to be. Customers can be really difficult to deal with, timelines can be really short, and things can get hectic. This is definitely a company for high-achievers, which gets exhausting sometimes.
