Healthy engineering habits: strong peer review processes, good code hygiene, a general sense that all developers share ownership of the stack together. Managers took career development, and mentorship seriously; feedback from weekly 1:1s was sincerely heard and acted on. Strong IT team managing the corporate network, security audits, on premisses hardware, and AWS. Frequent social events -- arts and craft nights, trivia nights, happy hours to celebrate product launches and milestones, a yearly all-expense paid company retreat to Tahoe. Truly flexible work from home and vacation policies.

I love the people I work with. I am happy to come to work each day, and I regularly stay after hours to spend time socially with them...happy hours, parties, game nights, etc. Company is good to sponsor these things several times a month. My role is what I expected it to be. The things I do day-to-day are what I was brought on for, and I also get to take on new and interesting challenges when I speak up to my manager with interest in doing so. I feel there is growth potential in my role, and I feel Guidebook prioritizes that for its employees on a broad scale.
