Pros

-fantastic people with great senses of humor. Aside from the SDR team, not the typical fratty tech environment -productive work environment -great benefits -lunch twice a week -people are very welcoming and there are a lot of fun events

Cons

-company is not doing as well as they say they are. no transparency. all hands meetings are inefficient and don't analyze real performance data -not a competitive product at all. even though tons of discounts are thrown around people still don't want to buy it and don't feel that it really adds value to their business. - it isn't clear what the marketing team actually does all day. doesn't do well with building the brand name -SDRs are praised and worshiped for setting inbound appointments which are essentially free money...no focus on outbound at all -terrible and very elementary sales training even though CEO has a sales background -No biz ops team -most companies don't see Guidebook as a reputable company. -high turnover -no transparency

Pros

Working at Guidebook have been rewarding and very important to my career. I’m about to complete my first year in the company and my learning has been great due the chance to interact with so many different people from around the world. I was surprised with the patience of everyone to help me to learn our process and culture. The company is constantly growing and i'm glad to be a part of this.

Cons

Sometimes, I realize that there’s a small lack of communication between the teams, but nothing that would affect the work.

Pros

Hit the ground running from day 1, meeting coworkers, touring two offices, and starting a super smooth onboarding process. Incredible culture. Everyone is so friendly and inviting, and genuinely happy that you're there. Went home ecstatic. SDRs are treated with so much respect, which is such a treat considering how much of a grind SDR can be. Truly everybody is, but I had prior misconceptions that interns are the bottom of the totem pole. It simply did not feel this way, and I always felt like a member of the team. I had the privilege of working under an incredibly driven mentor and team, and constantly felt as though I could see myself in this team. As an intern, you're surrounded by ridiculously talented people who all want to make a positive change. Feedback is always welcome, and listened to. I felt like I was able to bring my ideas to the table, and people were always so appreciative. No intern out there knows exactly what he or she wants to do upon graduation, and Guidebook recognizes this. They will give you every opportunity to branch out. I learned so much more than just my core SDR duties, having the ability to work alongside other teams whenever I expressed interest, as well. And when you're working at Guidebook, you will inevitably be exposed to all sorts of different talent. Simply cannot recommend my time at Guidebook highly enough.

Cons

If you're living outside of the city like myself, BART rides rack up quickly. Guidebook offers you the opportunity to use pre-tax dollars to pay, but you're still looking at some relatively expensive commuting costs. This really isn't the worst con in the world; it's just the only negative aspect of my time at Guidebook...
