Pros

Decent work life balance. My position was fully remote, which was nice. Expectations are clear, onboarding is good. PTO isn’t bad, I got 4 weeks.

Cons

Pay. I was making significantly lower than average salary for a sr analyst. I Asked for a market raise, was told it wasn’t in the budget. I got a 1.2% raise this year, which is laughable. The average raise was about 3% yoy. The company also lied about layoffs, saying they were done in February. I was laid off a few months later. Typical corporate nonsense, promises about being a family and all that good stuff lol. There are also a lot of egos here, so keep that in mind. Also, every performance review you have will be “meets expectations “ regardless of how hard or how little you work.

Pros

Promises that were only good to hear but eventually forgotten!

Cons

Long working hours, no overtime pay, no night differential. Working for Guidehouse felt like volunteering! Aside from all the terrible pay, there’s no career path for us, and management basically doesn’t care about us! We were deprived of the work-life balance management themselves had promised!
