Pros

Seems like the last post was made by HR. The only positive is the work colleagues and the young team.

Cons

People leave Guidepoint every month because there are no opportunities. The only skills that people learn there is how to Spam people on Linkedin. Salary is really low for people with masters. If people get a good job after being at Guidepoint it is because they did study something good and did not stay longer at Guidepoint.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate learning about your particular experience and are invested in ensuring a positive work experience at Guidepoint. To ensure there are no miscommunications from the start, we explain our roles in detail throughout the hiring and interview process, which involves an example of the day-to-day in a particular role as well as the salary for that position. In general, we always try to motivate our employees to achieve higher levels through training, promotions based on job performance, and salary increases when earned. Even though we’re committed to our people, turnover is a natural event that all companies experience. Please email us at feedback@guidepoint.com should you wish to continue the conversation about your experience. Best of luck to you in your future professional endeavors.

Pros

Young employees. Absurdly easy work. Unless you're in healthcare, you look up people on LinkedIn or job board sites, then try and recruit them into speaking with hedgefunds about their industry. You could have done this in high school.

Cons

Long hours, unbalanced incentives, questionable management. They praise "promoting from within" when in reality people will take the first opportunity to leave. It's not "primary research"... it's glorified telemarketing to recruit "consultants" so hedge funds can take shortcuts and there are more than a few "bad apples" that clearly want proprietary information. The next job you get will likely be entry level as well, since you don't really learn any new skills other than reading resumes and making phone calls.

Pros

A team of colleagues who are always willing to go the extra mile to help each other out. (reworded by AI for anonymity)

Cons

1. The company's priorities are profits, clients, and then employees. This has created a negative work environment where employees feel undervalued and mistreated. 2. Directors have a history of firing employees without notice or reason. This has created a climate of fear and uncertainty in the workplace. No replacements are hired. 3. Employees were underpaid due to commission errors. The company/finance team denied responsibility for the errors, even though they were significant for the employees. 4. Senior management is providing employees with fewer tools and resources than they had in the past (20% of previous amount). They are also expecting employees to produce more work (110% including growth). This is an unfair and unrealistic expectation. 5. Management micromanages to an extreme degree. They call for immediate meetings at all hours, which is disruptive and stressful for employees. 6. There is no opportunity for career growth or development in this company. There are no hard skills to learn or develop, and the soft skills that are available can be learned elsewhere (reworded by AI for anonymity)
