Pros
Nice office design. Technical people from US Office are indeed professionals.
Cons
Guidewire was the first company for me when I relocated. I got the contract back home and when I asked if the company will assist me with relocation at least with an advice they said yes, but the reality was totally different as I had to do everything by myself like blind as long as this is a foreign country for me. Second, the trainings were supposed to last for 3 weeks to 1 month and a half, in my case they had no projects and I did 4 month of trainings and internal certifications. When I asked about the project (again) they decided to allocate me to a support team, and I did support not only for the software products I was trained, but also for the one that I was not. Career growth in this this office is performed by evaluating how many years the person is within the company, independent on the performance of people who are less time but did much more for the business. Taking into consideration that company is mainly using Gosu (their own programming language), company doesn't invest at all in training for other technologies to keep people up to date with the technological growth. Mainly the company hires young people who just graduated, so they are more than happy as they haven't seen something else.
