Pros

- The company has an amazing company culture. Everyone treats each other with trust and respect. Managers are very supportive and understanding of the employees' situations (in my case - started as a fresh graduate and a mother). - Competitive salary and great benefits (LTIs, four-months family leave, wellness benefits, WFH one-off equipment allowance, and many more) - Management promotes working flexibly while still preserving work/life balance. Working OT is not really a culture here. - Company is growing, so expect more openings.

Cons

- The company is using a proprietary programming language, so you might be struggling when it comes to resources. But you'll get used to it.

Pros

- Real 100% remote working. You can choose between: "full" remote (which only requires 3-4 days per week of in-person working), hybrid (requires 2 days of working in-person) and full remote (no in-person at all). Although they encourage you to visit the office time to time to socialize and participate in events. - Guidewire takes real care of their employees: salary is above average, revisions are annually, HR and managers are very empathetic and open to talking any issue. They recognize your achievements and provide constructive feedback when needed with clear, concise but also with tact. - They provide you with good quality equipment (nice powerful laptop, dock station, etc.) and goodies from the start. - International and inclusive working environment. Everything is mostly in English regardless of with office you work from, and people are usually very nice. Inclusiveness and trying to make the working environment a safe place for minorities is something they take quite seriously, which is very much appreciated. - The software they produce is complex enough to become a challenge for those who are looking for interesting and stimulating projects. - Real commitment to employee training. The starting training consisted in my case of 3 months full of classes delivered by an internal team of education specialist, good material, documentation, videos, exams and presentations.

Cons

- Although the software they produce is interesting, it seems to be a bit outdated. The UIs, home-made frameworks and main programming language (Gosu) feel to need an overhaul. - The usage of Gosu programming language, which is already dead, means you won't gain experience in other languages, so moving to other companies may be a problem regarding requirements of experience with more common languages such as Java or Kotlin.
