      Guidewire is a great place to work. I had an fantastic 1st day, and the orientation was very informative. I have learned a lot about the company and the product itself.

      Pros

      Technology - We work on the bleeding edge of software. Very "developer friendly" environment - From flippy floppies -to- collars and anything in between. Whatever dress makes you comfy and productive! - We have a monthly service for snacks + our office admin goes to local stores to buy fresh fruit and other items. - We have wide variety of kurig coffee. Work Life - The mantra about work is "we want Guidewire be a part of your life, not the center of it" - No time-sheets! Seriously. - Need to work from home for something? No problem, life happens. Politics - Little -to- no politics. - Come in, code, go home. - No TPS reports required. Leadership - Our CEO is great. He is a straight shooter that seems to care about the company as well as people. - Local leaders, are also great. They care about the people and products. Pay - Great compensation packages (base pay + stocks + bonuses). - Encourages everyone to work hard.

      Cons

      If I had any, it would only be nit-picky stuff, like I prefer the temp @ 72 rather than 70... or some other seemingly meaningless con.

      Bonus structure is weak (compared to other silicon valley companies) Open office space Commute could be a challenge
