Pros

This position allows flexible, schedule and has an overall family-friendly attitude. Employees are satisfied with positions, would love more pay for the hard work.

Cons

Not enough Full-Time staff. Makes connecting work flow difficult, at times. More appreciation can be shown towards staff, particularly, part-timers and work-study students.

Pros

Helping the people of NC get better job training and education to improve their lives. There are some very dedicated people who keep things from collapsing, but they're starting to leave as well.

Cons

Everyone seems to be looking for a way out of here, at every level. Morale is terrible. Faculty routinely wait 48 hours to get calls or reply emails about problems. Student say they wait a week or more to hear back from staff in some areas. Upper level management is trying to build new campuses when enrollment is dropping every year, showing how out of touch they are.

Family-like bonds, low turnover, job security, internal hiring, good benefits (but not amazing), important part of the county community

Cons

Disfunctional organizational design, out of touch administration, poor internal communication (no one knows what the other departments are doing), recent layoffs, Continuing Education division is treated like a red-headed step child
