Pros

I’ve been with this company for over a year. I’ve had nothing but great feelings and great things to say about this company and people. I love our environment, our culture, our vision and what we truly want. It’s easy to embody Gusto’s values when you stand firm with what they believe and envision. I enjoy the pay. Yes, inflation is up, but it’s actually starting to slowly come back down so things are actually affordable again with my current wage. Also, if you work hard and do what you need to do, you’ll receive compensation increases. I think the work expected of you is more than manageable. The flexible time off as well as constantly accruing sick time is also a massive plus. The parental leave is wonderful and it ensured me plenty of time with my daughter before coming back. They really do what they can to ensure you have the work/life balance you’re needing. I love everything about this company and it’s been the best job I’ve ever had.

Cons

I guess my biggest con for this is minimal career progression compared to what was outlined before getting signed on with Gusto.

Pros

Any pros here are just the company trying make more profit off of you and repackaging it as a “benefit”. For example the “flexible” PTO schedule means no balances are paid out EOY and they limit days so you are locked out of taking the time you actually need if someone beat you to it. Very slimy.

Cons

They are always changing things and implementing new ways to make more money from your role. Meaning increasing your work load, decreasing time off phones, and making the schedule more and more rigid with tons of opportunities for punishments.
