      Lot of opportunity to make impactful changes.

      Cons

      Engineers who have been at Gusto a while are responsible for 99% of the output, ambiguity tackling, risk taking, but get paid less than the same as engineers working here <2 years.

      Cons

      Pay was low. They hire under false promises. Will tell you you can grow and won’t have to be on phones much. I struggled getting jobs in Payroll because the role itself is more customer service than actually handling payroll. Your schedule is constantly changing & roles. They have a program that determines if you’ll get a raise when metrics requirements are consistently changing and being revamped. It’s rare to get it. HR protects the company not you
