Awful company

Pros

None. Everyone is out to get each other. If you want to be stressed all the time and never know where you stand then this is the place to be!

Cons

Avoid this company like the plague. Incredibly toxic built on fear and distrust. People are 100% expendable w/o cause. If you're not working as much or more than the founder, then what are you even doing? Probably getting fired. You are working as much as the founder? You're still at risk. Ironically, this place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Claims of "agency" "output is valued" etc are bs. Top performers are let go and never spoken of again.

Sorry to hear of your experience--this is a bit odd as it says you started five days ago and are a manager on our enterprise team, which is not possible, so going to work with Glassdoor to ensure the titling and dates are accurate. Nonetheless, the last thing we want is a culture of fear at Harvey, and we are making active investments (including a formal review cycle, feedback training for managers, etc) to help address this, so I hope if you're a current employee you see it and if you're a former employee you know it's being actively addressed. -Katie

Pros

-Merit based (never been at a company with faster promotions and first time managers) -Fast paced -Incredible product market fit -Smartest/hardest working team you can find -Incredible autonomy to be creative and strategic -Our buyers are educated and have budget -Best investors in the world (go look at Sequoai's track record) -Brand couldn't be better - everyone in the industry and market knows Harvey. -Money is very good - a bunch of sales reps constantly blowing out numbers

Cons

I think the only cons are if you are looking for a structured corporate environment. Harvey is not that, which I am very glad about. Do you want to work for a company like Wiz when it first started or do you want to work for Wiz after it's part of Google? Harvey's pace and urgency may be problematic for some, but for others its the environment that is coveted and hard to find.

Pros

Solid product market fit. Good customer base. Some great and intelligent people.

Cons

A tremendous amount of bad will has been fostered in the past year that is potentially unrecoverable and disastrous for the company’s trajectory. Horrific senior leadership in sales and product. Goals are ostentatious from day one and support is nonexistent so there is a revolving door of talent. Abysmal equity and benefits packages. Huge divide between GTM and engineering. NYC office is sparse and overcrowded while LON & SF boast amenities like free gyms, and there are no plans from leadership to get parity. Above all, the senior leadership team’s (including the CEO) inability to seek feedback or see their teams as anything other than warm bodies required to generate revenue has left an indelible scar on the culture.

Sorry to read this and to hear of your experience at Harvey. There's some merit from my POV in some of the historical context of your feedback, e.g. it took us too long to invest in enabling reps and their success, but we now have a full team dedicated to it and are introducing a clear onboarding program to set people up for and invest in people's success. On offices, I oversee the workplace team, so ultimately that's feedback for me. I've now worked out of both offices (not yet London but I'll get there soon), and I think the biggest opportunity in NYC is around conference room upgrades and on lunch delivery (that part got fixed this week) so not sure I agree that there remains a large gap amenity wise between offices. We have plans to do a company-wide survey following our review cycle, so we'll take your feedback on that front and I think it's more than fair to push on. Appreciate the feedback painful though it is to read, and hopefully you'll see improvements in the coming months. -Katie
