Pros

HCA is a huge company so there is always an option to transfer if needed.

Cons

For profit company so everything is about the bottom line. Facilities are often old and run down. They will upgrade the ER but leave the rest of the hospital run down. Staffing is awful. I have mandatory OT often and forced to float to other units when they are short.

Pros

Flexible schedules, good PTO, great co-workers

Cons

Company does not value or attempt to retain experienced nurses. They would rather run units with new nurses to save money than pay experienced nurses what they deserve. Very dangerous for our patients!
