Pros
Company is good at letting us manage ourselves to an extent. The demands can be a bit much at times, such as dictating the number of tickets closed per day and such, but nothing unattainable, especially if you submit your own tickets for the one-off or drive-by work you complete through the day.
Cons
Ridiculously little amount of paid time off. You only receive 40 Hours per year and you never get more. Sure, you may get 1 or 2 floating holidays on top of that (total of 10 holidays), but having come from 7 weeks of PTO and Personal Days plus paid holidays, that is a tough transition. I would be happy if it was 2 Weeks (80 Hours) to start, then grew to maybe 4 or 5 weeks per year total over 10-15 years. It is often difficult to reach management to address any concerns. Also, it can be difficult to communicate due to the time difference between US and India as well as they always want you on Video for Teams calls. Not everyone is comfortable being on camera all of the time and I feel that HCL would do well to eliminate this requirement. I would be more engaged not having to worry about how I appear or having to act a certain way simply because I'm on camera. That is distracting to me and I could be paying more attention to the topic of the meeting, rather than worrying about what they think about me on video..
