Pros

I love HCSS. The people are great, the work is fun and interesting, and our customers love us. The work life balance is great, and there is also a lot of opportunity to grow and move around within the company. A previous review mentioned we are "force-fed" Trump politics by the CEO, which seems like a ridiculous statement to me. Mike will share about his political activity a few times a year via email, and it is always done in a respectful manner. So as a pro, I'll say that your political beliefs are almost totally irrelevant at HCSS. Nobody is going to tell you what you should or should not think or believe. Health insurance is great. PTO rolls over infinitely. I think the company handled the COVID situation very well. The new work from home policy is pretty good. The campus is AWESOME. The company is growing fast.

Cons

Base pay is below average, but comes out to be pretty fair if profit sharing is good (which it usually is). The new maternity/paternity leave policy is kind of nice, but is quite a bit less than what most tech companies offer.

Pros

HCSS genuinely cares for its employees & their long-term career growth. When you get hired- it is mostly because they also see in you a potential to fit into a higher position in the next 4-5 years. The 'management' is accessible and welcomes interactions. All in all- a great place to learn & develop your professional persona.

Cons

Some teams maybe overloaded with work. Paternity & maternity benefits (days) can be better.

Hi there! Thank you for your review. I just wanted to clarify the PTO statement. I think there may be some confusion as every full-time employee gets 120 hours (3 weeks) of PTO per year in their first 5 years, which can be carried forward indefinitely. From 5-10 years of service, you get 160 hours/year, and 10+ years, 200 hours/year. If you have any questions about this please feel free to stop by.
