Pros

The culture is great! The company promotes a family friendly environment, they hire employee's friends and family first. Work hard, play hard is the name of the game. When I started my career, I had the best leadership who really pushed me to succeed.

Cons

HD Supply struggles with hiring consistently good leadership. The bad apples spoil it for the bunch. You are encouraged to give feedback, but when you do, be prepared for retaliation, consequences and repercussions from management and Human Resources. A bunch of corrupt individuals will blackball you if you dont lick there boots. Getting a good leader is like playing russian roulette. Good Luck!

Pros

Great customers and sales reps. Great support from internal sales resources like sales support and product support.

Cons

More focused on metrics than sales success. Management does not listen, believes that questioning tactics is being insubordinate and that you are not adapting to change. No work-life balance. "Be Well" is not a practical part of life here.

Pros

You meet great people

Cons

The culture of this company has completely changed over the past 2 years. HD Supply went from being the best company I have ever worked for, to being a company I could no longer work for. There is no work/life balance and the environment is one of fear, intimidation, and mistrust. Micromanagent doesn’t begin to describe what is happening in the Healthcare Vertical. The sales team are tasked with hitting metrics that are impossible to meet, and the consequence of not hitting the metrics is the loss of your job (Regardless of how well you’re currently performing or have performed in the past). Being tasked with hitting unrealistic metrics creates stress, decreases morale, and interferes with our ability to take care of our customers. Moreover, forcing people to “hit” unrealistic metrics does nothing to improve the sales process.
