      Pros

      Organized chaos makes for a good learning environment if you want to learn the business fast. Take-home pay is good.

      Cons

      Completely ineffective and spineless senior leadership. Merchants call all of the shots, and managers/directors do not support their teams. Sales, merchandising, and supply chain are constantly at war with one another, instead of being aligned with common company goals. Human Resources is absolutely useless. Advancement opportunities are limited, if not nonexistent. Retirement benefits are below market average at only 2.5% match. Most good people end up leaving after a year.

      Great work life balance. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Lost the mission to service the customer. Seems the goals now is the stock holders and board. Return on their investors what matters, not the customer. If your looking for a company with heart and has a mission to do good in this world- walk past HD Supply and look elsewhere.
