- Best pay in the area - Steady work as they are the only builder of carriers in the nation

Cons

- Can't really get ahead unless you know the right people - Careers are built off of legacy at times and not off of peoples true ability

Great place for an internship

Pros

As an intern you are able to work on projects within the first few days. The flexible work hours are great. There are alot of people who have worked at the shipyard for 20+ years and can pass down there knowledge and experience. The supervisors are willing to let you expand your learning knowledge and skills by forcing you to attend software classes and special engineering workshops.

Cons

Parking isn't great if you work close to the waterfront. Lunchtime is only 30 mins long. If you work in buildings away from the waterfront, you will barely get to see the ships.
