You get to participate in arming the US Navy with amazing ships to fight for peace.

Cons

The company is NOT looking out for your best interest. It's too big to really care about the little guy. The layoffs are proof of that. They have employees that have been put on report, but maintain their positions due to the "good ol' boy" network.

company good for 20years then management changed from promoting based on experience and education and started promoting throught the good ole boy system, HII has made it a very partial and prejudice showing company

Cons

very predjudice since HII brought the company, Northrop Grumman made NNS a good company, now senior has no value if one of the selfish non-qualified managers don't like you you are now gone, the company has no loyaity anymore

Quite a few layoffs. Top heavy in management. Older workforce in the offices so not a lot of new ideas coming in.
