      Pros

      I liked the opportunity for overtime and great pay. The management really helped the employees reach their goals they wanted.

      Cons

      It was a culture of slack. Everyone tried to do as little as possible because advancement was pretty much based on seniority and it was automatic for the most part. You didn't get ahead by being a hard worker.

      Pros

      Building America's warships is a very satisfying and rewarding job. Most of the craftsman are willing to teach and explain in detail about the job. Promotion opportunities are plentiful if you're willing to work hard.

      Cons

      Working around steel is hot, cold and dirty. The hours could be adjusted depending on the time of year, come in earlier in the summer months and later in the winter months. When folks are more comfortable they tend to work harder.

      High job security; focus on developing talent; experienced leadership; opportunity to work in several different accounting and finance functions (encouraged by management)

      Cons

      Change is slow; not the greatest facilities; because the company doesn't have a lot of growth opportunities it isn't as exciting as work for a growing or smaller company ( the flip side of the job security)
