      Pros

      Interesting environment. Awesome life-work balance with flex-time opportunity. Management is supportive and not at all overbearing. Upward movement seems almost immanent for anyone dedicated to doing their job.

      Cons

      Steep learning curve for those not akin to the industry. Typical troubles you would expect for a giant such as this as far as communication and cohesiveness within the company is concerned.

      Pros

      Good benefits, competitive compensation, multiple disciplines employed to work with and get a holistic view of the shipyard and the business of shipbuilding.

      Cons

      Unutilization of EIT's and no real use for PE's. There are a select few employees that have a PE in the shipyard and it is very hard to get into a department with one of them to gain proper experience for an EIT to obtain their own respective PE licensure.
