      Good for Mechanical Engineers

      Pros

      Worked here for almost 2 years as a mechanical engineer. A lot of varied experiences and projects on a variety of mechanical systems, especially if you doing repair engineering work on the Navy vessels

      Cons

      Sometimes a bit hectic. It can take a long time to get used to how the whole system operates because the ships are so massive, and finding your way around them can be annoying. But I think those are small gripes

      Pros

      With an engineering job it is very hard to lose your job. The only people I know to have lost their job are people that lie about their time or watch porn at work. Every 10 years or so the Government pushes for budget cuts and the bottom 5% of performers are laid off; you would have to try to be in this group.

      Pros

      It is very family friendly,great people to work with, good supervisors, relaxed atmospher, good pay , convenient location wise and safe

      Cons

      There can be long hours,the raises are not always consistant or givin out fairly, some of the people u have to work ith can be a bit over the top. You don't always have the right supplies to do your job effectively
