Pros

Pay, healthcare, social activities and well known name within the industry

Cons

The company is plagued by an excess of leaders and executives who fail to address issues, and promote unfit employees. No sector is content, burdened by unrealistic workloads, and bad leaders. Overall, a toxic environment fostering discontent among employees.

Pros

Construction is a difficult industry no matter where you work. HITT at least rewards hard work with a great bonus structure, flexibility on work style and schedule and great co-workers who all work hard and care (at least at a higher proportion then other places I have been). Yes, you will work hard. As hard as you want really- there is no limit. This will often come with rewards unlike many other locations.

Cons

There is no doubt work life balance is not the same as an accountant at KPMG. This is hard work and a hard industry and is not for everyone. The rewards for people who enjoy constant stimulation are there- promotions, pay, and satisfaction for working for a very reputable and well respected general contractor.

Pros

You can end up wearing a lot of hats. Can be seen as pro or con.

Cons

No growth, supervisors and managers all hate their jobs. There is a lack of structure. Half of the employees had to be relocated from DC. There is no culture… Sad place to be. You’ll be in suffocating cubicles in the bullpen with the executives getting the largest private offices along the window. They are in the Bay Area but can’t seem to assimilate with Bay Area culture.
