Pros

The company has always been extremely flexible in accommodating outside (i.e. family) needs for its employees. HRsmart is also very big on promotion from within and enabling employees to seek other opportunities within the company. Employees are encouraged to be entrepreneurial in spirit and there is very much an open door policy.

Cons

Resource are tight and you must wear 'many many' hats. It can be frustrating trying to fulfill the client/product demands with the resources available. There is always a constant battle of re-prioritizing the greatest needs.

Pros

The company is growing so many of us get the chance to wear different hats. This is a good thing if you are still looking to gain experience. There are also plenty of people who are willing to help you through tasks.

Cons

Sometimes wearing many hats can be a negative thing depending on what you are looking for in your career.

Pros

About 3 months ago, I left HRsmart for a really great opportunity elsewhere. I really do owe HRsmart a lot and the experience I gained there made it possible for me to go from intern to executive in very short order. I worked with HRsmart for over 9 years. I started there as a college intern and came up through the ranks over the years. I was exposed to all kinds of challenges and technologies. I was able to travel the world and work with many really amazing people at home and abroad. I still have many of these friendships and a totally new perspective on the world. HRsmart is a fairly large organization and has a really impressive network of employees and former employees and because of that, I have friends at pretty much every major internet company. It really is a great place to gain experience and work with real experts in the field. There are not very many companies in the Dallas area that operate at this technological scale.

Cons

As you can see by reading some older reviews on this site, they have had their fair share of turmoil as well. A lot of the executive leadership that people complain about here have left the company over time. As of today, they seem to be on a better path. The biggest failing I saw while there was a general lack of focus on sales. This of course led to a lack of new sales and other real challenges caused by that. They have renewed their focus on sales, chosen a direction and it seems to be paying off. My friends who are still there have told me that they’re on track for a record quarter which shows the investment in sales is paying off.
