Has Gone Down Hill Quickly Post Goldman Acquisition - Hopeful They Can Right The Ship

Decent Pay, A lot of good and intelligent people, unlimited PTO

Cons

The CEO is in between a rock and a hard place. They sold the company to Goldman Sachs and now it's clear that Goldman makes the important decisions and not Leadership. This has facilitated a gigantic change in the company DNA. It used to be a company where employees felt valued, had equity, and were moving the ball forward. However with the recent leadership changes, employees don't feel valued, don't have equity (except for a few select C-Level execs), and don't feel like the company is moving in the right direction. All employees were told the GS acquisition would be a great thing, but it was only a good thing for the co-founders to pad their pockets and they seemingly don't make the decisions anymore and honestly don't seem to care. The Leadership Team has Ask Me Anything's but they seem to dance around the difficult questions w/ a lack of transparency.

We have had unprecedented growth while changing ownership at the same time. This naturally causes turbulence and “storming” within the team. For us this was also a learning opportunity. The past few months have seen a lot of change and with that, some shifts in senior leadership and focus. We are in a time of change but I'm excited about what's to come and the opportunities that come with private equity ownership.

Recent purchase of company has turned culture sour, no equity, low morale, leadership is passive about it.

Thanks for sharing your experience at HUMAN. I am glad that you’re enjoying collaborating with our stellar team to solve big hairy security problems and that you see good work-life balance. Hopefully you’re seeing this as more of a company-wide trend now. Your concern about leadership communication falling short of an A grade during a time of significant change earlier this year is fair. There was so much going on, and the leadership team was still coming together, and we missed the mark on timely tight communications on a few fronts. I feel we’re doing much better now but still striving to improve. A key part of that is building out an upgraded PM organization to bridge the gaps between teams. I hope you see positive changes.
