      something real one can do to help the world, because it is about water analysis and water is about life

      Being a part of Danaher corporation since ~2000, in the last 5-6 years Hach has become a typical product of corporate America. You do not want to be a manager there if you value your subordinates and peers, the only way to succeed is to manage up. In the same time, one cannot really advance in the company being an individual contributor - there is no career path laid out for such people...
