Pros
Small work environment Fair pay for the work you do You get to know your customers well Fun to organize and setup displays Interesting to look at all the items that are being sold (sound cards!!) Great for older workers Employee discount was pretty good Has an in depth training program
Cons
Depending on your General Manager your store can be productive. Unfortunately, the location I worked at had an incompetent GM who was more focused on talking on her cell phone than doing actual work. Then she complained about how much work she had to do all the time. Failure to hire the best people into positions of leadership. People are hired off the street to become GM's. High turnover rate at some locations and a very constant rumor mill/mongering Failure to follow in depth training program - again related to the GM's who often don't know much about the company or how to run the store..literally. They don't know how to do things and are unable to show you due to their lack of knowledge.
