no qualifications needed, its a simple retail job with no hourly goals and a decent staff discount (40%)

ridiculous expectation for product knowledge.. was expected to know random facts and information about the christmas ornaments and the seasonal product (singing stuffed animal characters, karaoke microphones). too much crap to tell the customers - the new rewards program, the bag deals, whatever promo they were holding that week.. customers are brutal, always complaining about how expensive the cards are and how stock or selection is low the day of the holiday (!! OBVIOUSLY!) management turnover 3 times in the two years i was there, each worse than the last. they tend to play favorites and that is how your growth in the company is determined. also determines what kind of shifts you get. managers can decide dress code specifics. i was told i could not wear my plain, black wedge booties because they didn't align with the company values or some garbage. wore them anyway. i got written up once for swearing on the sales floor when i wasn't even working, nor wearing their stupid apron. you can guess that i was likely not favored by that manager.
