Pros

Great benefits. Day shift. Friendly co workers & management. Very easy to move up within the company.

Cons

Low pay rate. Also, with varied occupied rooms each day, I do not get full time hours. More rooms = more hours.

Pros

- 50% off rooms at any Hilton Property - The people you work with and for are usually awesome - You meet people from all walks of life from all over the world - You're always "busy" in a good way so the time goes fast - Relaxed work environment besides the good busy - Not difficult to learn the system at all - You'll get close to all the wonderful staff - Every day is unpredictable

Cons

- Every day is unpredictable - Low pay - No room for advancement - No benefits besides the employee rate discounts - Franchises may have less benefits than corporate Hiltons - Housekeeping is almost always understaffed - When housekeeping and maintenance is gone for the day, if an issue arises regarding cleaning or maintenance, you have to fix it yourself. - Weekends can sometimes bring in the "wrong type" of people, you never know what people are up to - Working with the public can be difficult when you have people with damn near impossible demands - Sometimes you come across the Gold or Diamond level members who are flat out rude and forget you are a human being

Pros

100% guest satisfaction guarantee or money back Spend a lot of time showing appreciation to various departments Offers a lot of interesting resources for keeping all hotels current

Cons

Not enough perks for employees to encourage them to enroll HHonors members Not enough autonomy for franchise hotels (not individual hotel's fault) Really expects individual franchises to incentivize staff but won't share the rewards program with employees in a way that they can benefit from
