Pros

Hampton has the "magic" balance of entrepreneurial freedom and structure. It's a very supportive environment for those who are self motivated and have a plan and a desire to succeed. The company is willing to take well thought out risks and is often rewarded for doing so. In-turn they reward their sales people for executing on these plans with a good commision plan. The reporting structure for the size of the company is flat, which makes for fast decisions (required in our business). There are other "Trading Houses" out there with higher commision rates, but the "full package" of working for Hampton equates to a great experience.

Cons

No real Cons. A great place to build a business / career. As a Trader, it's in my genetic make up to complain about the commision rates, but as stated, the overall package is fair.

Pros

I love working for a family company where the shareholders are actively involved. You are given as much opportunity to grow professionally as you desire and are willing to work for. They encourage people to continue their education and to keep learning. As a woman working in a predominantly male industry, I have always felt respected and like my opinion matters to my peers and the Senior Team. The company has been very focused on continuous improvement over the last couple of years, and it shows in the way we are improving processes and bettering our procedures.

Cons

Like all places, Hampton isn't perfect. There are some people who want to do the bare minimum of their job, and then they are the same ones who write terrible reviews and complain when they are passed up for a promotion or don't get the raise they think they deserve. Basically, if you work hard and are willing to learn new things, you will succeed in this company.

Pros

More supportive of personal and professional growth than any other place I've worked. Lots of interesting, rewarding, challenging opportunities. Management listens.

Cons

Some in this corner of the state don't like a company that cuts trees.
