Great as a temporary stop, not a long term solution.
Pros
President Williams has a positive attitude and desire for change. Beautiful location.
Cons
The challenges on the campus are significant: unhealthy mold, outdated technology, inconsistent infrastructure, comparatively low pay, lack of generally accepted benefits and services provided with similar positions at other institutions, older & poorly maintained buildings (clean inside, but deteriorating), and a Non-collaborative work environment. There is no room for growth or real tenure. There are high expectations from faculty but little return on investment. Gain experience and leave is the best you can hope from the position. Most students are great, but some are entitled and lack discipline and work ethic. Many are behind academically. It is not the number one college experience for faculty, staff, or students yet; it is too political—a serious challenge with priorities extracurricular activities emphasized over academics. Leadership is not responsive to faculty concerns other than surveys.
