Pros

Can balance private and work life pretty well. Some nice people do work here.

Cons

Have to learn by trial and error if get a promotion have to figure out how to job well and figure out how to do it. You either are good or you are not and if not told you have to correct it but not how to. No training. Had to figure out there was training that was required by signing in and finding it out for myself.

Pros

Work with schedule, not hard but can be physically demanding. Full time get good benefits.

Cons

Promoting is difficult. Position needs to be available and if you are good at your position you'll probably be there forever. Customers can be rude.

Pros

Fun work environment, very laid back as long as you get your job done properly, great chances to make more money by selling replacement plans and memberships. Easy to move up in the company if you want to.

Cons

Higher-ups don't understand the store environment and will put outrageous requirements, like giving more work with less time to do it in. One of the worst problems is that managers can't schedule more people if sales are low, but sales are low because there aren't enough cashiers or people working the floor to help customers. It's a never-ending cycle. Also, can be very busy and customers get annoying because it's usually middle-aged men in a tool store, so they already think they know everything and that you should be bowing down to them.
