Pros

Not Many. Benefits package is okay if you're lucky enough to be a permanent employee. Some departments have better morale and camaraderie than others. Building is in a nice community area.

Cons

Long hours, very poor compensation. The pressure is on to work 10-12 hours a day, even though 'overtime is not authorized'. Many employees are hired as in-house temps to avoid paying benefits. No advancement. Yearly surveys to 'improve' the morale situation in the company but nothing changes because upper management feels that they can just get new employees, if the current ones complain too much. Constant turnover, people abruptly quitting or being fired. Management will recruit and locate middle-to-upper managers and abruptly fire them in less than six months. Recruited managers are often unqualified for their positions and are set-up to fail from the start. They do this to not pay them what someone truly qualified in that role would cost the company. Upper management brought in incompetent consultants to streamline internal processes that changed nothing and ended up costing the company more money while trying to fix all the problems with the changes.

Pros

As many hours as you want just about, always something to keep you busy, fun co workers, will work with your schedule, discount on things in the store, and friendly management.

Cons

There isn't a whole lot of bad, except their POS system and things get kind of boring sometimes. Their POS system is very old, people kept saying that they would be getting new computers and systems. I was told that would happen months ago and it has not. The system is so old it is confusing. Also, the work sometimes is mindless. Like SRR. If you like something that keeps you busy and entertained, this is not for you. But if your just looking for something to fill the time and don't really mind doing mindless work, then it's not to bad. Also, if you're working at a register, anytime you need a return, a pickup, change or have a tax exempt(mind you, you have these a LOT!) you have to call for a manager, wait on them to finish what their doing, and have them come up to the register, while the customer waits, sometimes for longer than need be amounts of time.

Pros

The benefits for your family are outstanding, and there are many locations in Ventura County to work in. Great job for a graduated student.

Cons

Yearly pay increases of less than a dollar even with an incredible year of effort. Little advancement if you do not have an education. Older operating systems that need to be up to date.
