Pros

Gave great lunches and gave good quarterly gatherings

Cons

This was the most terrible place I have ever worked. Worked there for 2 years hoping things would get better. Management is horrible....no communication....expect employees to work OT with no pay.....treat employees like they are trash....if you are considering working here please reconsider....NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK

Pros

Flexible schedule - half-day Fridays There are some decent bosses and people within the company.

Cons

Where to start... Benefits - Hargrove has the worst benefits of any company where I've been employed. Health insurance is about $800 per month for family coverage and about $280 a month for single. They opted to go with United Healthcare over Blue Cross, which has even worse coverage. Think $100 urgent care copays. High annual deductibles; almost worthless. Their lower cost health plan is only good for catastrophic events; very poor coverage. PTO - Terrible. 10 days to start, which includes both sick and vacation time; so never get sick or you'll sacrifice your vacation. Everyone comes to work sick here and spreads their illness so they don't lose out on vacation. Negotiate more time before you accept an offer here. Paid holidays could be better. The Mobile office only gets 4 hours paid for Mardi Gras and Good Friday since other locations don't celebrate Mardi Gras (They get a full 8 for Good Friday). 401k- Low match due to them offering an ESOP plan (they call it TSOP). Lots of restrictions with a required term of service (at least 2 years to be eligible) and other terminated employees had difficulty taking money out upon their departure. Project Managers/Engineers - Some of the most arrogant I've experienced. The company is very political, and there's a great deal of finger-pointing going around for missed deadlines and project mistakes. Culture - This is a very "drink the Kool-Aid" type company (think of the movie Office Space). While they do spend a large amount of money and time promoting charitable causes, I feel like they short-change their own employees to do so. They can afford to spend money on these causes, sponsor multiple events, etc.; yet, can't afford to provide better benefits for their employees. A company should first take care of those that make the company money. They will feel more appreciated. They put PR over their own workforce, which is a huge problem. This company has grown too large too fast, and it has resulted in a typical Corporate America type environment where you're a cog in the machine. Your input does not matter much in the grand scheme of things.

Pros

- Coworkers are great but they leave when they find better opportunities. They are quality people. Management at this company is the reason most people leave. - CTO (time off based on overtime) can be good for extra vacation but usually they will just make you use it when they can't find work for you - most times with no notice. - Flexible schedule, half days off on Friday - Starting pay is competitive but raises are almost nonexistent.

Cons

- No promotions, no extra compensation based on performance. Preferential treatment is abundant. - Upper management does not care about employees at all - they only care about the bottom line. - The workplace is very unprofessional and non-inclusive. Severely lacking in diversity. - They claim to be all about the "team" and having a team mentality but in reality they only use the "one team" talk to guilt you into doing more work so you don't get labeled "not a team player". - LOTS of office cliques and politics. - No respect for personal lives or work/life balance. Will ask you to travel with barely any notice. - Insurance is insanely expensive for not great coverage. Benefits in general are not great. 401k match and TSOP will be the first things to go if the company isn't meeting monetary goals. - Company is more concerned about public appearance (charity fundraisers, foundations) than it is about actual employees and helping them.
