Pros

Abundant growth opportunities; Personal development is strongly encouraged and facilitated; Strong benefits package; Great stock purchase plan backed by a great growth stock; Good company for a lifelong learner; Very good setting for the rational, data-driven decision maker; Very good senior leadership.

Cons

Significant part of comp plan is variable and based on business more than personal performance; Meritocracy can be brutal for the wrong personality type---know yourself well or be willing to learn about yourself, good and bad.

Pros

Harris just buys companies and then lets them carry on as they were, so Harris is kind of a misnomer. In this case it was i2 - a great little company before a layer of career managers got hired to erode the place away. Harris has "values" like respect that they are very passionate about when it suits them. They actually seem to believe them (until they want to get rid of you)

Cons

They only let you have 10 days off ill per year with pay At i2 the code as utterly absymal, causing them to make lots of redundancies in order to reduce costs. But this is just a sticking plaster... They harp on about the Harris values endlessley, then of course just ignore them when they want to can you
