Pros

Harris has a great company culture. Satellite offices are given great health benefits with minimal micromanagement from corporate.

Cons

Compensation is slightly lower than industry standards.

Pros

Generous PTO; excellent benefits; a variety of employee perks such as working remotely/from home; lifestyle rewards; office breakfasts/lunches and more. Most of all, Harris lives by its 10 core values and offers employees autonomy, flexibility and room for growth. Each business unit operates as a smaller company under the corporate umbrella so each has its own "quirks" and personality and management; your experiences may differ depending on your business unit, manager, location, etc. But overall, Harris is an EXCELLENT company to work for; I highly recommend.

Cons

If you work remotely FT, you can feel a bit "out of the loop." Sometimes there is too heavy a reliance on technology such as email/Skype; occasionally you just need to pick up the phone:) They tend to pay on the lower side and you have to set your own limits to maintain work/life balance, but you will never be bored!

You have great observations about our culture. We strive to compete in a tough talent market and choose to invest strategically in the areas our teams value. Thank you for sharing your feedback on the remote challenges as well. We are working to increase the use of web meetings and teams to increase positive interaction across geographies and time zones!

Pros

The company is profitable and will stay that way until their ability to buy smaller companies and use their customer base to their advantage.

Cons

They cut everything to become profitable; employees, support, research, sales, management, etc... The result is they over promise and under deliver. Existing customers are a commodity that they milk for as long as they can because of the expense for the customer to switch to a different product. Toxic work environment with a lot of angry customers. Only way to excel at this company is to get promoted to a senior-level position in mergers and acquisitions.
