I am quite impressed with Harris since starting employment here a few years ago. They encourage and foster an environment rich with opportunity and growth for all hard working employees. They adhere to 10 core values and this is clearly demonstrated on a day to day basis with all employees and at every level of management. There is no question about the strength and viability of the company as a whole with how they run the business. It is solid from the ground up both financially and in leadership. I'm thrilled to be an employee of Harris and look forward to my career path as the company grows and succeeds now and well into the future!

Cons

Harris has a use it or lose it vacation policy. Some people view this in a positive way in that Harris encourages work/life balance. Harris wants us to take vacation and enjoy life outside of work - work hard/play hard!

Pros

We get a bunch of individual freedom to find solutions to problems. We get to think outside the box. The work is not on the cutting/bleeding edge but very close to being on the cutting edge. I like not having to be in a cookie cutter job. Also the benefits, vacation time and the casual biz environment makes it a great place to work. At a Harris Christmas party the CEO talked about the 10 core company values and that really sums up why I like the company.

Cons

Not a con for me but Responsibility and Accountability are big here. If you are looking for a place to cruise then this is not the place for you. With the freedom to be creative and solve problems and make cool software comes the responsibility to get things done.
