If you are interested in working independently and using your brain to complete your work, this is not the place for you. The Audit division can only be described as oppressive and rigid. Employees are not allowed to have conversations without a member of management present, and get reprimanded regularly. The dress code is very strict. Shirt and tie every day, even though the rest of the office is business casual. I was watched every moment, and reprimanded when I was away fr ok my my desk for more than 5 minutes. I felt like I needed a hall pass where ever I went.

Department heads and executive levels are elected or appointed officials who may or may not have the necessary qualifications for the position. Overall lack of accountability since County Auditor is not engaged and therefore audits are taken seriously. The Auditors Office is underperforming and lacks accountability.
