Pros

Early release on Fridays in the summer, lots of extra holidays/time off. Some of the most intelligent and talented people I've ever worked with.

Cons

Work can be a bit silo'ed. There's definitely a barrier between ExComm and the worker bees that wasn't always there.

Thank you for the feedback. We agree -- our teams are staffed with many incredible people! As a leadership team, we endeavor to communicate and connect in a variety of ways. It can be difficult to strike the right balance between frequency and overload, openness and discretion but we are always trying. I welcome even more specific feedback so we can be better. As your CHRO, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at angela.cheng-cimini@harvardbusiness.org. I hope to hear from you.

Pros

The company gave a sizeable bonus last year. Employees can leave work at 2:00 PM on Fridays in the summer as long as the remaining 3 hours are completed earlier in the week.

Cons

The caliber of leadership exhibited in an organization can vary greatly, ultimately influencing the work experience of each individual employee. This is quite true at HBP. Regrettably, I am situated in a part of the business that is characterized by an overarching culture of fear and manipulation.
