Pros

It's a great job to meet interesting people, a good job to have while in college. If you are evaluated as a good employee you can move up in job titles quickly and change restaurants. Some of the best managers I have worked with, however, these people are moved around a lot to put out fires at other restaurants. Insurance policy is ok, around $370 for a single person.

Cons

Claim taxes on 100% of tips. Overall negative team work. They implement team service in all their restaurants; which works at Roots, a high end steak house, but not at their other concepts; creating a frustrating environment. Management vents their frustrations as much as employees. The owners have a monthly meeting with representatives from each restaurant, which does little to no good; the owner listens passively. This passivity is mirrored throughout company management.

Pros

The majority if staff were nice and easy to get along with.

Cons

Constantly criticized and micromanaged no matter how good your numbers were. Always blind sided in reviews. Unprofessional conversations always held to get inside scoop on other managers. Unreasonably high expectations with next to no guidance, support or follow through. Sacrificed quality for profit. No room for development. Those who play the politics are rewarded and those who work hard and have the numbers to show are scorned.
