Training and Stealing

Pros

If you are willing to train yourself and look past lack of management moderation and professionalism, you can make money.

Cons

very little traffic, sales people rewarded for stealing business and doing the wrong thing constantly, management unwilling to monitor theft of customers and manage sales team, constant meetings with content that is not pertinent to job, training is a joke. If you're out on an island without other stores near, no career advancement

Pros

The high you get from a sale is intoxicating, training is amazing and through. Knowledge of sales and effective methods of sales are instilled in the job. Benefits are quiet nice and employee discount is top notch.

Cons

Constantly having to contact and reengage customers, whether by email or phone. Requirements are sometimes unachievable and non realistic. Although the ideas behind many of the sales methods are great they aren't always the most lucrative in a real life situation.

Pros

great product, great customer service, easy computer system to learn. Beautiful showroom

Cons

weekends are shot, long 11 hr Saturdays. If sales staff doesn't like you, you will be pushed out. DO NOT discuss anything personal with anyone, trust no one. Management is a cold hearted individual who will pretend to be a compassionate manager to get you hooked and hired but then wont communicate to you once your hired. Sales managers will ignore you and not mentor to you like they should, let you hang yourself when you don't perform and blame you for not progressing as you should, despite no mentoring. You are expected to be a robot and learn the job overnight. I was thrown a workbook with no expectation or follow up of the exercises I was told was a requirement ONLY at exit interview. My workbook was not checked by anyone and no coaching as to if I understood it. I was ignored by management with no guidance given to me. Management plays favorites and if they don't want you, you will be set up to fail! Its an ultra conservative environment. I didn't find it relaxing at all to interact with fellow co-workers. Constantly talked down to in a condescending tone and corrected like a child would be.
