Pros

In and amongst the best sporting events throughout the year. An autonomous role. Can be rewarding if you work hard and are willing to learn.

Cons

Long hours - no extra pay or benefit to you working overtime. Travel can really affect how well your day goes. Work-life balance isn't good, more industry based. Responsibility:Salary ratio is off, should be more based on the industry market.
