Cons

The current secret documentation practice encourages a defensive and adversarial environment, diverting employee energy from productive work toward self-protection and fear of retribution. This actively undermines collaboration and psychological safety.

Pros

Depending on your DO, as a Program Director you are the CEO of your facility. I did not experience any micromanaging as long as you performed to standards set.

Cons

You do have to liaison with a Hospital Partner, and sometimes that can be challenging.

Cons

Leadership is disconnected not caring about the day to day issues as long as their metrics are hit. Not a lot of opportunity for career advancement.
