Pros

Great culture and benefits. The company focuses a lot on inclusion and collaboration, both culturally and professionally. I've also never seen a company that has had such a high regard for their staff's mental health and overall well being.

Cons

Because I enjoy/respect the people I work with so much, I sometimes wish we all weren't remote. This isn't really a genuine "con" because the remote first option allows the company to acquire high talent from across the country and as an employee, there are definite benefits to working from home.

Leadership is great and look to take care of their people. Excellent business processes throughout the company.

Cons

Pay is not in line with the industry and the stock price has been tanking lately.

We'll keep working on strengthening cash compensation and benefits, which makes it more possible to take a longer-term view of equity compensation. I'm sorry also about the challenges that we (and many other publicly traded companies) are facing regarding reduced stock prices, meaningfully impacted by macroeconomic factors like inflation. We'll talk about this at length in today's All Team Member meeting -- what this means, and what we're doing to manage through this current macroeconomic storm. - Worthwhile mission - Trustworthy executive leadership team - Solid benefits - Good co-workers - Great work life balance

Cons

The biggest con for me was career growth. I was at Health Catalyst for about 5 years. Four of those years were spent doing the same job function. I received a few generous raises but my responsibilities didn't change. I hit a plateau where I wasn't gaining new skills or responsibilities, I felt like the only way for me to progress was to leave Health Catalyst. Career path is an issue leadership at HC has addressed for years and it is much better within certain parts of the company.
